If you've been browsing Suteki Stickers recently, you may have noticed things moving around, products disappearing and reappearing, and lots of little changes happening across the website.
So, I thought it was time for a little update on what exactly is going on behind the scenes!
It all started with StationeryFest...
I absolutely LOVED StationeryFest! It was so lovely getting to meet so many of you in person, chat about stationery and generally spend a couple of days surrounded by people who get just as excited about stationery as I do.
I was also absolutely blown away by how much interest there was in our Tip In Tape! I'm hoping to make a little video about it for social media in the coming weeks because so many of you were interested in how it works.
Then I came home...
...and discovered that the app I'd been using to sync my stock hadn't quite worked as it should have.
Oops.
That meant I needed to recount everything I'd taken to StationeryFest to make sure the stock numbers on the website were actually correct.
And, because apparently I don't know how to do anything by halves, I decided that if I was going to do that, I might as well recount EVERYTHING.
The Great Suteki Stock Recount
StationeryFest prep had left my office looking a little chaotic, so a complete stock recount seemed like the perfect opportunity to reorganise everything at the same time.
And I am SO glad I did.
I've discovered loads of products that had never made it onto the website at all, along with random products that had previously sold out online but apparently still had one or two hiding away in the office!
So if you've noticed older goodies suddenly popping back into stock, that is why.
I'm slowly working my way through everything, making sure that if the website says we have something, I can actually find it, and that the number showing online is the number that's really sitting on the shelf.
It has become a much bigger job than I originally expected!
And then I started on the website...
Because once I started reorganising the physical shop, I realised the online shop could do with a bit of the same treatment.
My main goal is to simplify Suteki Stickers and make it much easier to find what you're looking for.
I've already made some pretty massive changes behind the scenes, as well as quite a few changes you'll be able to see yourselves. There are still more to come!
Some things might move around while I work on everything, and you may notice new sections, different categories and little changes appearing as I go.
It's all being done to make the website better and easier for you to use going forward.
Why is it taking so long?
I'll admit, I'm a little sad that this has taken me as long as it has.
But Suteki doesn't stop while I'm doing it!
Alongside the recount and website work, I'm also working my normal job, looking after my daughter during the school holidays, keeping normal orders moving, dealing with incoming stock, TCMC pre-orders and releases, preparing for the upcoming TCMC Birthday Release, and planning and creating lots of things for The Very Curious Planner Meet.
Oh...
And I'm designing something SUPER exciting that I'm not quite ready to tell you about yet.
Things have become a little hectic!
Normal orders are still going out as usual, and I'm making sure those are packed and dispatched as quickly as I can while all of this is happening.
There are LOTS of goodies coming!
The exciting part is that while I'm working through all of our existing stock, new stock is still arriving too.
It's trickling in bit by bit, and there is already lots on the way to get excited about.
We have a new Kubo and Lucy release arriving in the next day or so, plus an absolutely LOVELY new release from Thousand Skies coming soon, including some of their newest items.
And they are lovely.
There is plenty more happening behind the scenes too, so there is lots to look forward to over the next few weeks.
So, what does this mean for you?
Most importantly: Suteki Stickers is completely open!
You can order as normal, and I'm continuing to get your orders packed and on their way as quickly as possible.
Just bear with me if the website looks a little different every time you visit!
Stock will continue to be counted and added back to the website as I work my way through the office, forgotten goodies may randomly reappear, new releases will be arriving, and I'll keep tweaking and improving the website as I go.
There's a lot happening at Suteki at the moment, but I'm really excited about what it's turning into.
