Doodle date - Dudley Zoo (May 4th)

Join us for our first-ever walking and doodling adventure at Dudley Zoo this May the 4th! This is a fun, casual meet-up where we’ll explore the zoo, sketching everything from giraffes to tiny lizards. Whether you're using your planner, a sketchbook, or just doodling for fun, this day is all about creativity and enjoying the experience!

What’s Included?

✅ A relaxing social meet-up at Castle View pub afterward (optional, but let us know if you’re joining)

What You Need to Know:

📍 Location: Dudley Zoo, West Midlands
🎟 Entry Ticket: You will need to purchase your own zoo entry ticket on the day or book in advance.
⏰ Meeting Time: We will meet at the entrance of Dudley Zoo at 10:00 AM and enter around 10:10 AM (or once everyone arrives).
📱 Running Late? No worries! We’ll have a chat set up beforehand—just let us know, and we can either wait or arrange to meet you once you arrive.
⛰ Terrain Warning: The zoo is very hilly, but there is a train available to help reach the top.
🖊 What to Bring: A notebook, planner, or sketchbook + a few pens/pencils (travel light!)
🍴 Food: Bring a packed lunch or purchase from on-site cafés
👨👩👧👦 Children Welcome: Feel free to bring little ones, but keep in mind that we will be spending time at enclosures to draw. That said, you are free to explore at your own pace!

🚗 Traveling from Afar?
There are a few hotels within walking distance of the zoo and even closer to the pub if you’d like to stay over. If you're making a weekend of it and want something else to do, we highly recommend the Black Country Museum—we may be hosting an event there later this year if this one is successful!
