I’m so excited about our upcoming event and can’t wait to see you all there! 🌸 Unfortunately, I do have a bit of less-than-happy news to share, and while this won’t affect most people, it may impact some attendees.
When we booked the venue, we were told the stairlift to the event space was broken but that it was being looked into, and that a members-only lift could be used on the day for anyone with accessibility needs. We’ve now been informed that not only has the stairlift not been repaired, but the lift is also either unavailable to us or not working (it hasn’t been made clear which).
This is a real disappointment, especially as the only toilets in the venue are located downstairs from where the event is taking place. If this had been made clear when we booked, I would have looked for an alternative venue. Unfortunately, with only around 8 weeks to go, we are unable to move the event now.
The good news is that the shops, food, and the event itself are all in the same room on the first floor — it’s just the toilets that are downstairs.
If we host another event in the future (and I really hope you all enjoy this one enough that we can 💕), we won’t be using this venue again, as the lack of communication has let us down on this and a few other things.
